Vienna Airport Lines connect the airport with central Vienna.
There are 3 different Vienna Airport Lines that operate 24 hours a day. The bus stops are located outside of arrival hall.
The fastest line is Vienna Airport Line No.2 that takes you to Wien Morzinplatz/ Schwedenplatz Station (Vienna city center) in 20 minutes and the tickets cost €8 one way, €13 return. You can buy your tickets on board.
FlixBus buses operate at Vienna International Airport. The service runs to Hungary, Slovakia, Czech Republic and other European countries. You can buy your tickets (starting from €5) and check the bus schedules online.
There are two options to get to Vienna city center by railway: CAT (City Airport Train) and S-Bahn trains.
❯ City Airport Train (CAT) is the fastest option as the non-stop journey to central Vienna, Wien Mitte Station, takes only 16 minutes. Then you can connect to the U-Bahn (subway), buses and trams.
The tickets cost €12 and the children below 12 years can travel free. Operating hours are 5:46 AM to 11:39 PM.
❯ S-Bahn train, S7, connects Vienna Airport to Wien Mitte (Vienna city center) in 20 minutes. A one-way ticket costs €3.90. The trains run from 5:18 AM to 0:18 AM, every 30 minutes.
• You can “Check-in” your baggage directly at CAT Terminal at Wien Mitte Station and have your boarding passes.
• As the journey for both trains to Wien Mitte Station takes more or less the same, taking S-Bahn train, S7 is the most convenient option to get to Vienna city center.
Taxi & limousine stands are located north of Arrival halls; a taxi journey to Vienna city center takes around 20 minutes with costs between €30-40.
All the taxis run on meter in Vienna; be sure that the meter is reset before your journey. It’s customary to tip taxi drivers 10% of the total cost.
