Taiwan High Speed Rail, known as THSR, operates on one line from Taoyuan HSR Station to Taipei Train Station.
The line has no stops at the airport; therefore, first you need to get to Taoyuan HSR Station by taking a shuttle service. The shuttles depart from each terminal every 5-10 minutes and the ticket costs NT$30.
Once you get to Taoyuan HSR Station you can find direct trains to Taipei Train Station, Zoying, Tainan and many other destinations.
The ticket from Taoyuan HSR Station to Taipei Train Station costs NT$165 and the journey takes around 25 minutes. The trains run from 7:00 AM to 11:40 PM, every 30 minutes.

The most comfortable but at the same time expensive way to get to Taipei city center from Taoyuan Airport is to get a taxi.
The taxi stands are located right outside the arrivals area and they are available 24 hours a day.
A usual trip to Taipei downtown takes around 35-40 min and the cost is approximately between NT$1250-1400.
Taxi drivers rarely speak English, so be sure to carry your hotel's phone number and address written in Chinese.
