You will see a taxi counter on the far right when you exit the terminal.
The taxis are metered and a journey to Phuket town takes around 30 minutes and costs around ฿400 plus ฿100 for airport surcharge.
If you want to go to Patong, the journey will be around 40 minutes and it will cost around ฿550 plus ฿100 airport surcharge.
If you don't want to deal with the hassle of taxi companies/drivers or long bus queues, you can prebook a ride via Kiwitaxi, an online booking platform that offers reliable and cheap airport transfers worldwide. The English-speaking driver will wait for you at the airport even if your flight is delayed, holding a sign with your name on it.
Just like in any place in Thailand, scams are common and your driver may want to take you to another hotel or may say that your hotel is full or burned. Just ignore them and insist on going to your hotel.
