A typical trip to central Havana takes around 30 minutes and should cost between 25-30 CUC.

Taxis usually don't charge extra for additional stops, so you could try to find some other travelers to share a taxi. There's a money exchange office outside the terminal, where all the tourists exchange money, and where it's fairly easy to find and ask someone to share a ride to the city.
