While the train is the most convenient way to travel to central Frankfurt, should you need to connect to Darmstadt or Trier, taking a bus is the cheapest and most direct option.
AirLiner buses will take you to Darmstadt Central Station in about 30 minutes.
A one-way ticket costs €8.45.
Buses leave every 30-60 minutes to and from Frankfurt am Main Airport (T1 and T2), between 4:30 AM and 23:30 PM.

• To go to Trier, you can take a FlixBus bus from Terminal 2 to Trier Hauptbahnhof. The journey takes about 3 hours. A one-way ticket costs €13.
The S-bahn (run by RMV) train is the most convenient way to get to central Frankfurt from Frankfurt am Main Airport.
Two direct lines depart from Terminal 1: The S8 line to Offenback and the S9 line to Hanau.
Either will take you directly to the city center (Frankfurt Hauptwache, 5th stop on either line) in 16 minutes.
Tickets cost €4.65 (€2.80 for children), and can be purchased from ticket machines at the station.
Trains run every 15-20 minutes from around 4:30 AM–1:00 AM.

Frankfurt Central Station (Frankfurt Hauptbahnhof), which connects to other trains, is the 3rd stop on either line, about 12 minutes from the airport.
Frankfurt am Main Airport is located 13 km from Frankfurt city.
A taxi journey from Frankfurt am Main Airport to central Frankfurt takes about 20-30 minutes.
Depending on traffic, fares are around €30-40.
Taxi ranks are located outside of both terminals.
