There are three bus/shuttle options that you can get from Dublin Airport to city center:
❯ Airlink Express 747 and 757
Operated by Dublin Bus (public bus service), Airlink 747 and 757 buses connect airport to Busáras (Central Bus Station) and Heuston Train Station.
The buses depart from Terminal 1, every 15 minutes from 5:00 AM to 11:30 PM.
One-way ticket costs €6 (€10 return) and the journey takes around 40 minutes. You can check Airlink 747 and 757's routes and get your ticket online.
❯ Aircoach Express
Privately operated Aircoach offers 24 hours’/day shuttle services from Dublin Airport to various parts of the city center and other Irish cities such as Belfast and Cork.
Buses depart from outside both Terminal 1 and Terminal 2. The buses run every 15 min from 3:15 AM to 11:55 PM, every 30 min after midnight till 3:15 AM.
One-way ticket costs €6, €11 return and the journey takes around 25 minutes. You can get your ticket online choosing your final destination.
❯ Public Buses 41 and 16
This is the cheapest option to get to city center but it has many stops so the journey can last an hour.
The lines that run from Dublin Airport to city center are Bus 41 and 16. Both buses depart from Terminal 1 and run every 10 minutes during peak hours and 30 minutes other times. A single ticket costs €3.50 and can be bought on board.
• Keep in mind that you need to have the exact amount for public bus tickets, the driver does not give you any change.
• Avoid public buses 41 and 16 as the journey takes around an hour and there is no extra space for luggage.
There are no metros or trains connecting Dublin (DUB) Airport to Dublin city center.
A taxi journey to Dublin center from Dublin Airport takes around 15 minutes and the journey costs between €20-30.
Taxis are available outside both Terminal 1 and Terminal 2. Simply follow the taxi signs to get to ranks.
