The Brussels City Shuttle is the easiest and most convenient way to get to Brussels city center from CRL Airport. The bus goes directly to Bruxelles-Midi/Brussel-Zuid Rail Station, and the trip takes about 50 minutes.
Buses leave every 30 minutes, from 7:50 AM–00:54 AM.
A one-way ticket costs €17 if you buy it at the airport kiosk, €14 if you buy it from the Brussels City Shuttle website.
The buses and the ticket desk are located outside of Exits 3 and 4. The ticket desk is on the right-hand side when exiting the airport, past the Belgian fries stand.
• Flibco offers direct shuttle services from CRL Airport to various cities in Belgium, France and Luxemburg, such as Brugge, Gent, Lille, Metz and Luxembourg. Ticket prices start at €5 and can be purchased online.
• If you want to get to Charleroi city center, you can take the Line A shuttle bus service run by TEC (the regional bus service). A one-way ticket costs €6 (you can buy it on the bus).
There are no metro or train connections from Brussels South Charleroi Airport to central Brussels.
Brussels South Charleroi Airport is located 50 km away from Brussels city center, and taking a taxi is therefore a very expensive and inefficient way to reach central Brussels.
A taxi trip from CRL Airport to Brussels city center takes about 40 minutes, and the fare can vary between €100-140.
A taxi trip to Charleroi city center takes about 10 minutes and costs €15-20.
