There a a few different bus options from AMS Airport to central Amsterdam:
❯ The Amsterdam Airport Express (bus nr. 397) will take you to central Amsterdam in about 25 minutes. This bus used to be called nr.197.
A one-way ticket costs €5 when purchased directly from the driver, or €4.75 one way/€9 return if purchased online.
The buses run every 10 minutes on weekdays and every 30 minutes or so on the weekend, from 5:00 AM–00:20 AM.
It leaves from bus stop B9 outside of the Airport's main hall.
❯ At night, the N97 runs every 60 minutes.
❯ You can also take the Schiphol Hotel Shuttle, which offers services from Schiphol Airport to almost every hotel in Amsterdam.
A one-way ticket costs around €17 (€27 round-trip). You can get your tickets online, on board or at the "Connexxion Desk" inside the airport.
The shuttle runs every 10-30 minutes, from 6:00 AM–9:00 PM.
• FlixBus offers connections from Amsterdam Schiphol Airport to various cities around Europe; you can buy your tickets (starting from €5) and check the bus schedules FlixBus website.
The train will get you to the Central Station in about 15-18 minutes, and is the quickest and easiest way to get to central Amsterdam from Schiphol Airport.
A one-way ticket costs €5.20.
Trains run every 10 minutes during the day (7:00 AM–11:00 PM), and every hour during the night.
They usually depart from platforms 1 or 2.
• The train station is located directly beneath the airport: from the main hall, which connects directly to the departures and arrivals halls, you reach the platforms by taking the escalator or elevator down one floor.
• Some machines do not accept bank notes and credit cards; you can skip waiting for the machine and go directly to the ticket counter to get your tickets.
• High-speed trains also connect the airport to many European cities such as Berlin, Brussels, Hannover, Marseilles and Paris.

Amsterdam Schiphol Airport is located 22 km from Amsterdam city.
A taxi trip from Schiphol Airport to the center of Amsterdam takes around 25 minutes.
The trip should cost you around €40-50, depending on traffic as well as your final destination.
You can find the taxi queues right outside of the arrivals hall.
